Mexican Ministry of Education selects TELL ME MORE

Madrid, Spain - October 29, 2009

Auralog, language learning technology pioneer and publisher of the award-winning TELL ME MORE® language learning software program today announced the successful roll-out and implementation of a mulit-year contract for 380,000 learner licenses from the Mexican Ministry of Education. Through an exclusive partnership with Mediatec, Auralog’s distribution partner in Mexico, TELL ME MORE language learning software will be implemented in a multi-wave approach beginning in October 2009.

The Mexican Ministry of Education (Secretaría de Educación Pública, SEP) is the governmental department responsible for education and culture in the country of Mexico. The Mexican education system is organized into four levels: preschool (K1–K3), compulsory basic education (grades 1–9), upper secondary education (grades 10–12), and higher education. Public schools serve 87 percent of all students in the country.

In an effort to proactively support growth and economic opportunities the Secretary of Public Education has licensed TELL ME MORE® Campus for 380,000 learners through Auralog partner - Mediatec. Mexico takes education very seriously; the government currently spends about $28 billion annually on education, almost a quarter of its programmable budget.

TELL ME MORE® Campus was selected as it was uniquely able to address the varied needs of the diverse learner audience. With up to 2,000 hours of content per language program, TELL ME MORE® offers more content than any other solution. Learners will benefit from up to 10 different proficiency levels that cover complete beginner through advanced business levels and from course content developed using authentic materials reflective of each individual language versus the cookie-cutter approach many other companies take in reusing the same content and graphics while only translating the text.

The language learning solution is being delivered in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Dutch online to learners throughout the country. Through Auralog’s exclusive partnership with Europe’s leading news broadcaster, EuroNews, learners will also have access to weekly current events language learning lessons featuring video footage from a recent television broadcast.

“Mexico’s education system has been undergoing a major upgrade in the technology resources and capabilities available to students,” said Jean-Luc Sost, Managing Director of Auralog Latin America. “TELL ME MORE® Campus will provide the language learning technology schools need to educate tomorrow’s global workforce. The Mexican government has responded enthusiastically to TELL ME MORE® and we are looking forward to assisting them in reaching their goals.”

Designed specifically to meet the needs of higher education students. TELL ME MORE® Campus helps to develop perfect pronunciation through its advanced speech recognition and analysis tools while helping students master all areas of language learning including reading, writing, speaking, listening as well as cultural understanding.
